Summer Bucket List
The sun is shining, the weather is hot, it’s summertime! After being quarantined for so long, you deserve to get outside and have some fun, so we have some great ideas for you to beat the heat and enjoy the rest of your summer.
#1: Swimming
What better way to cool off in the summer than to go swimming? Pack up your beach bag, slather on some sunscreen and head off to your local beach or pool! Some cities even have their own outdoor water parks, which is a great place to take kids. And if you have little ones, consider signing them up for swimming lessons- there’s no better time to learn than the summertime!
#2: Picnic Day
For a fun way to switch up your typical lunch or dinner routine and try out some new recipes, try packing it all up in a picnic basket and heading down to the park or the beach! All you need is a blanket to sit on and a basket full of your favorite foods. This is a great activity to do with kids, with friends, or with your significant other for a date night.
#3: Bike Riding or Roller Skating
Hop on your bike or lace up your roller skates and go! You can go zipping down the sidewalk, find some awesome bike trails, or roll around at your local roller rink. This is a great way to get outside and get moving, plus we have some cycling socks that will keep you comfortable while you’re cruising around.
#4: Go to the Park
There is nothing like a classic summer day spent at the playground! Whether you are swinging on the swings, going down the slides, or trying your luck on the monkey bars, a fun time is guaranteed. The playground is a fantastic activity for kids, but even those who are a kid at heart will surely enjoy it too!
#5: Camping Camping
is yet another classic summer adventure, and the possibilities are endless! You can look up campsites in your area, travel somewhere new, or have a “staycation” by setting up a tent in your backyard. Don’t forget to bring all the best camping gear, and make sure to pack plenty of marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate for s’mores!
#6: Tie Dye Clothes
Tie-dye clothes aren’t just for summer camps, you can make them yourself at home! You can get any piece of white clothing (we have white socks that would look awesome tie-dyed) and dye and get to tie-dying. We would recommend doing this activity outside, because it can definitely get messy, but the mess is worth the fun!
#7: Go to a Baseball Game
Nothing says “summer” more than going to a baseball game. Buy some peanuts and cracker jack, relax and enjoy the ball game! Plus, it’s a great outing for the whole family, a date night, or a group of friends.
#8: Have a Bonfire
There is no better way to end a long summer day than having a bonfire. Kick back and relax with your favorite people (and drinks and snacks!) and enjoy the cool, summer night air and warm fire.
