How Do I Find My Sock Size? Socks Addict's Guide to Sock Sizes
Let’s be honest, sock sizes can get confusing; numbers, letters, measurements...but what does it all mean? The Soxperts are here to help and clear things up!
In the US, a numerical sock size is essentially how long your foot is in inches. This means that a sock size labeled 9-11 is often not a shoe size, but rather how long your foot is in inches. For example, a women's size 7 shoe is about 9 5/16 inches, so it would fit that size sock no problem.
Luckily most of our brands use alphabetical sizing (S, M, L, and XL) in correspondence to shoe size to make it easy. Although the sizing across all of our brands varies, we created a universal size chart as a guide.
*For any women with a shoe size larger than a 12, we recommend trying men’s socks.
We also carry kids socks, which are a little different. We offer a booties batch for babies up to 1-year-old, as well as socks for little and big kids. Socks for little kids are for children about 3 to 6 years old who wear shoe sizes 7-13. Socks for big kids are for those who are about 7 to 10 years old and wear shoe sizes 1-5. By age 10, most kids can fit into standard women's socks, which have a larger selection.
Pro Tip: Be sure to check the size charts for the specific sock you’re interested in because sizing differs between brands. Each brand also has its own corresponding size chart! We try our best to include the corresponding shoe sizes as designated by our brands.
